SNANA PURNIMA

PURI JAGANNATH TEMPLE
LORDS AT SNANA BEDI
Snana Purnima, also known as Deba Snana Purnima, is one of the most important yatras at the World famous Puri Jagannath Temple in Odisha(Puri),India. Puri Jagannath temple is one of the DHAM of CHAR DHAM.

Snana Purnima is the bathing festival celebrated on the Purnima(full moon day) in the month of Jyestha. It is an important festival of Jagannath culture. On this day the Deities Shri Jgannath, Shri Balabhadra, Devi Subhadra, Sudarshan and madanmohan are brought out from the Jagannath temple from Ratna Bedi and taken in a procession to the Snana Bedi which is within the complex of the temple. Here the Pujaris bathe the Deities with 108 golden water pots of refreshing sandal-scented water.. The 108 pots of wate is brought from the well near Sitala temple in the premises of the Jgannath temple.
PUJARIS ARE BATHING THE DEITIES
Deba Snana Purnima is a exclusive festival of Lord  Jagannath and is said to be  one of the oldest. According to the Skanda Purana when Raja Idradyumna installed the wooden deities He arranged this bathing ceremony. This day is considered to be the birthday of Lord Jagannath.
GAJANANA BESHA(LOOK LIKE GANESHA)
After the bathing ceremony the deities are dressed in  Seda Besa and in the afternoon they are  dressed as Hati Besha-in the form of Lord Ganesha.
There is a nice story behind it, Gnapati Bhatta, a devotee of Ganesha who had come from Karnataka, during Snana Purnima to see the festival, was disappointed by not seeing the Ganapati image an the bathing platform. To satisfy the religious sentiments of this devotee, the Lord Jagannath appeared as Ganesha. So from that day, the Gajanana or Hati Besha of the deities is being done.
After the bath of the deities, the deities are believed to fall sick. It is believed that during this time the deities don't keep well and therefore take rest.Like human beings they are considered to have fallen ill and treated by the Raj Vaidya(King's Physician) with specific medicines. So for this reason deities are kept away from public view for 15 days. This perid is called 'Anasara' and the image instead of Ratnavedi, are kept on a special room, aliitle ahead of the Ratna vedi within the inner santum. And on the 16th day, the deities appears before the devotees in a ceremony called Nava Jauvana darsana or Netrotsaba and on the 17th day  the deities are taken out of th temple for the famous Rath Yatra.

Mother's Day: A Tribute To Motherhood

Mother's day is a celebration by which we appreciate and honour our sweet mother's and their motherhood.

Maa and Baba, I think are the two special words. They are the most loveliest and sweetest in the whole world.
A mother is she who can take the place of all others, but whose place no one else can take. Each one of us owes our existences because of our mum's. So it is a time to celebrate and give thanks to the woman who brought us into this world.
T here is no stronger love in this world than the love a mother feels for her children.S he cries for them, she worries about them and she would die for them. Mother's acts as a strong pillar for her children against all the odds of the life. A mother holds her childs hand for a short while and their hearts for ever.
Moms are loving, ever-caring and really understanding. She is the jack of all trades(she is a housekeeper, chauffer, chef, nurse, alarm clock, teacher).
Moms warms our hearts because they care and when we call, they are always there. She makes us smile, lights our way and even hear what we don't say. That's why mom's are loved. Mothers always knows the best because they have the special magic. A mother's love is patient and forgiving and her arms are more comforting than any other. Mother's love is peace, she is the holiest person in the world.
God gave the world stars and there was Beauty. God gave the world sun and there was Warmth. God gave the world rain and there was Life. God gave the world mother's and there was Love.God cannot be everywhere and therefore he made mothers.
Thank you God for this beautiful blessings.
                                                       HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

Friendship is God's special way of loving us through someone else.Friends are another name of life.
True friends are hard to find, difficult to leave and impossible to forget.A friend isn't someone who's just always for us, but someone who understands us a bit more than us.
A friend is some one who understands our past, believes in our future and accepts us just the way we are today and gives us total freedom. A friend put a smile on our faces and spring in our steps.Friends make each day a new beginning filled with wonders and joy. A friend always fight for us, respect us, encourage us need us and stand by us.
Friends give us the courage to lift the blinds on our hearts, to open up and show that we generally keep hidden from the rest of the world. Friends gives us the inspiration to reach our dreams. A true friend reaches our hand and touches our heart. A true friend makes us a better person.
A wonderful friend is a beautiful blend of sharing and caring and love. Every gift from a friend is a wish for our happiness.

True friends makes us laugh louder, smile brighter and live better.

Life is Beautiful....

Enjoy it,live it, adventure it, express it with happiness and follow your dreams.

Life is like a butterfly very beautiful and colourful.

Life is beautiful when we do masti with our family and friends and laugh at silly jokes of our friends.
Life is full of suprises. It becomes more beautiful when we get surprises from our family and friends.

Life is beautiful when spring arrives and flower blossoms all around and the cuckoo sings. There is freshness all over and life becomes beautiful.
In life many problems comes but we should not worry about all these. Every problem is like a red signal. If you wait for sometime, it will turn into green. We come across many problems, some stay for sometime and some for longer but we try to skip problem and even succeed in skipping some but we make slight mistakes sometimes. We forget that every red signal turns into green and likewise every problem also resolves. So
don't ever give up in life. Life is beautiful.

When the onset of first rain comes and touches the Earth, the smell of the soil is osome and life becomes beautiful.
Life is beautiful one just needs to see the better side of the things. And when we realize that life is beautiful we will make this world even more beautiful.
